How Do You Store Your Bikes?

standing bike rack above

Storage. After moving into "the Attic" I started wanting to organize things better. While looking around I came across the bike wall hanger. It works pretty well but I still needed a space for a couple more bikes................then I ran across the standing bike rack. It seems to do what it says and hasn't slid from the wall yet. Although the top piece seems to lean in a bit, I may have to make a piece to keep it straight and vertical. While I was in creative mode I took my ideas into the bathroom. I had a cheap stock specialized fork laying around so I came up with this. I had used this idea before but I incorporated a stem and bars into this design. below: 4 roll holder yo!!

On a riding note I was at Hampton Thursday evening at ride time and almost was able to secure being the first to ride the 2010 BMC Team Machine SLR demo that we just assembled but Larry had seniority so he broke it in. We hammered out Simmerly as usual, this ride always has me at max because these guys ride it pretty hard having some "friendly fun", IE; no one takes it personal! Up down and around and we were back at the shop in no time, good ride! Today saw the Haro sonix and shift bikes being pulled from their cardboard coffins to see life as someone's pride and joy to be ridden through the woods or hang from a garage not to see much use, either way it beats being caged in a cardboard box somewhere in a warehouse. I was impressed with the sonix expert though, SLX groupo with a carbon XTR rear der and shimano centerlock wheelset with a SID upfront handling all the directional duties and a rock shox monarch 3.3 air shock in the rear sucking up the bumps. Retails for $2700.00......Get one for 1700.00 at our place though!
