The Environment Wins!!!

Well the Carter Forest isn't ancient but it does have trees more than 200 yrs old! Today I got an email with some fantastic news. It stated that Dr. Stanton, President of ETSU, decided to not pursue the "land swap" deal with the Carnegie Hotel. "After much pressure with the SGA (Student Govt. Assn.) and the Faculty Senate I have decide to not pursue the land swap" Dr. Stanton stated. Looks like one mark in the win column for the Carter Forest. The conservation group at ETSU is going to try to use this momentum to get some kind of National Forest protection for Carter Forest to save it against future threats.

So now for a cold PBR in celebration of our victory to save Carter Forest and the ETSU trail system!

Tomorrow I will post about the new Pinnacle trail that I rode today on Buffalo Mountain!
