Get Ready

One more day! One more 'til the harsh pain of Curtis Creek road and the climb up to the top of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This week I rode 120 miles on the road bike and 0 miles on the mountain bike. I'm figuring that the 63 I will get tomorrow will make up for not riding the MTB. The first half isn't so bad, its rough don't get me wrong but it seemed last year that the first 30 miles went by pretty quick. It also helps to have a bud riding with you to chat with. (John Horne). This year he broke his leg water skiing so I will probably ride this alone but I am riding over to Old Fort with a couple of friends. They are a little better conditioned for these endurance events than I though. But, we'll see. Last yera I had a brake failure and did not complete the last Kitsuma part. My time was 8.5 hrs. I'm hoping to get this done in 9hrs this year. It's raining here today and the forecast is for 40% chance tomorrow. I don't want to go to the top of Mt. Mitchell in mud! Im ready for this and I will update monday or so. Today is a day of rest like yesterday. Last night Angie and I had a nice soak over at Hot Springs ,NC. ,totally relaxing! So we will see what tomorrow brings hopefully we will all make it safe and sound
Later G ......................
