ORAMM has came and gone. Another year of experience under my belt with these endurance races. I'm sure I will probably not ever win one due to the fact I live a normal life with a kid and have all the responsibilities that go along with family and such. Unable to give 100% to a training program. But its a whole lotsa fun finding out at 43 what I still have left in me sometimes. Especially in BMX. Theres not very many guys my age that can do that. Did I mention all on a 20" BMX & 24" Cruiser BMX bike? Last race was in 2006. I'm sure I could still make the main at a National event but I would safely say without some practice my sprints are weak now. Its nice being able to do things that most other peeps your age can't..... I guess thats what I get out of most of the things I do and try.

Well its two days after the HARD-ORAMM and time to do something physical. No bike still today though, ........ hmmmmm RUN! Yep looks like a 5K is in order today. CX isn't very far away now and the running definately helps in that discipline. Theres also a 5K in Elizabethton that I will probably run with Austin this saturday too. A couple of friends are contemplating a very hilly road bike climb fest for Sunday after church. I'm going to try to get in on that and the TNR thursday. The weather is holding out here in East Tennessee, they have rain forecasted all week though.

Just got the results up for ORAMM. I placed 43rd in 40-49 age group. Don't know what I placed overall ,results were not given like that. Woulda been nice though. 9:14:20 time 63 miles and 11,000 feet of climbing...........next year :)
Later G...............................................
