Hot Outside

well the summer heat has finally made its presence felt. Sunday a bunch of us climbed to the top of Holston Mtn for a 50 mile road bike ride. It was pretty hot and I had never been up this on a bike so I set my pace with my heart rate monitor. 160 is where I let it sit. After I got to the top I realized I could have rode a little bit harder and had been just fine. Coming off there Rob and I ripped it up. We were laying into those hairpins pretty hard. I really enjoyed the ride.

Work has been pretty nasty with all the humidity and heat outside. I like the hot rather than the cold so I'm just going to soak up of much of it as I can for now. It won't be long til the chilly nights are back on our door step. I have some light riding this week planned. Nothing too bad and also some more running every week. Going to try to hit some more 5K's also. Although I need to do some summer cleaning around the house, theres a bunch of stuff I would like to throw away. Peace!
