HOTDOG RIDE

Hmmmm whats a hotdog ride? I didn't know until last night. Me and several of the mountain bike club members (NTMBA) went to Warriors last night and had a blast! A few of us got there early and rode some short loops while waiting for everyone else to arrive.

Anthony was the only one there on a SS and he pretty much set a blistering pace. I rode about midway back in the line 'til I seen that Anthonys pace was taking its toll on a few. After the first little re-grouping I took Anthonys wheel and we were off. He gapped me a couple of times but he let me get back. It was a very nice "race pace" and I needed it. Its the first time I have been to Warriors this year that I could just ride what ever pace I felt like riding......IT WAS GOOD! Most of the time I'm there with other peeps that I ride with that I like to stay with, like Austin or Angie. We finished the ride, just before dark too. Then they fired up the grill (aka stove). They threw some dogs on and before you know it everyone but me is chomping on hotdogs. (I'm not a hotdog eater-I have seen how they are made, YUK!!!!) Then Anthony comes up with the idea to have a hotdog eating contest. Anthony , Andy and Mike step up. 1,2,3 GO! They start cramming these things in their mouths and Anthony screams dam its hot! Anthony leads most of the way but right at the end Andy swallows his last bite and claims victory with Mike and Anthony a close tie for second. We stand around chit-chatting and then Greg and I need to be getting back. We pack up everything and say our goodbyes. That was one of the "bestest" club times I have had since joining the NTMBA. I look foward to another one of these!!

Today is an off day for riding, I have some road bike maintenance to do before tomorrows ride up the mountains. Looks like Im going to be in the market for a new computer also. My PC crashed thursday night and Im just going to break down and buy a really good laptop. That way I can keep ALL my music and pics with me anywhere I go. All the wireless that is out and about now is a plus also. My PC is outdated (4yrs old) time for a new computer! I just sold my old laptop last week, but it was old and also really outdated and I got a really good price for it so I let it go. Its a good start for a new laptop. Im using Angies work laptop this weekend looking for a new one...........
