Well the nice UPS man delivered my new laptop thursday! It was such a pleasant sight to see another cardboard gift box on my steps as I arrived home. Its up and running like a precision machined wheel (it should its new). I was intending on doing the TNR but getting home late put a damper on that. Angie and I got on the cruisers and headed downtown since we couldn't ride the TNR. Our first intention was Scratch Pizza but they have changed the hours to only fri, sat and sun now. We then decided to go to Acoustic Coffee House, so we pedaled our way to there. We took in some folk music from SW Va. It was ok but nothing to write home about.
Tuesdays ride was pretty tough. The pack races were only doing two A groups (did not know this) and I stood there as the first A's took off. Then the second A's left (which I inteneded on riding) but everyone left was going.....WTF? Needless to say it was a blistering pace (for me) with all the fast A's, I hung in til the end of one lap. I knew I didnt have it in me for another one at that crazy fast speed so I neandered back to the school and then rode on back home. It was a good workout even though I didnt run wide open for as long as they did. I still got my 40 miles in for tuesday. Like a druggie lookin' for a fix baby! Not going to get much riding in this weekend but if the weather holds out for next week my mileage is going to increase alot. Theres a long weekend coming up. Do I see a long MTB trip ahead?? maybe!
