Nothing could describe it more! I'm feeling a little lost with Angie being out of town and not getting Austin this weekend so I tried to make the best of it.

I was going to get up early saturday morning and head down to Panther Creek but that fell through at the last minute. Change of plans.... lay in bed an extra hour and a half...lol. I got up and loaded the exploder and drove around town getting some errands done before heading to Tsali to meet Greg, Melinda and Rob for some weekend knobby tire riding. I arrived about 1-ish and seen Rob, he had already knocked out about an hour. I got everything set up and we all headed out to get some riding in before din-din. The weather was awesome but the trails were dusty though. Rob and I hit one of the trails while Greg and Melinda went the other way. We agreed to catch up after our laps. Rob set a pretty good pace and I was on the SS for the first part of this ride. We knocked out Thompson and Mouse pretty quickly and rode back to get Greg for another loop. Got back to camp and got showered up and got the food out. I had some nice pre-cooked chicken for the burritos I brought with me. They were very tasty! Some nice smooth New Castle beer to wash it all down with, mmmmmm NICE. Later the skies started to rumble and it came a light shower. It disapated and we built a nice fire, chatted awhile then turned in. I had not even settled down and then drip drip. It started again! I had the fly all nice and snug so I did not worry. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Got up and had breakfast, we all suited up and we hit the right loop first. Got around to the county rd and Mel headed back in. That left the boys to rip it up for the final part of the left loop. We rode at a good pace, nuthin' crazy. Then 50 ft from the trail head at the end we round a curve, Rob and some big fella almost had a head-on. Not good on single track! The big fella had came to an abrupt stop sending him over the bars in which he managed to save a face plant by landing in step stride and run down the trail almost running through me. He was a big ole boy. Everyone checked to see that all was well and we continued on. Nearly 50 miles in with awesome weather, not bad! Got back to the campground and finished packing, grabbed a quick shower. Jumped in the exploder to start it, click click click. I thought the starter was bad but a nearby camper suggested that we try jumping it first. We did and it started right up.....whew, I thought I was going to have to get Rob to take me to Advance or something! But it all worked out well and I headed home. Even though I missed Austin and Angie I had a very nice weekend with some super great friends. Thanks Greg, Melinda and Rob! I'm looking foward to Angie getting home tomorrow night! I miss her alot. Can't wait to get Austin next friday. All three of us are headed over to Waynesville, NC next saturday to do the skydiving simulation at the facilty over there. Going to be lotsa fun for sure
Later G.......................................................................
