Vetta

I got home Friday and had a huge packet in the mail! I like it when I get surprises, especially when it has bike company logos on them. I open it and it was from VETTA. I had filled out a form several months ago to do product testing for them. I opened it, read everything, low and behold I had been accepted to be a product evaluation tester. There was a small contract and all to sign and fill out. The good news is I get to KEEP everything I test. There was several forms for products that were already on the way.....YEAH! I like free bike stuff. They really make some cool bike computers but they are into alot more also, check the link! I can't wait to start testing this stuff, looks like its going to be fun. They have some new LED lights coming out that I'm looking forward to getting for night riding.

No racing this weekend. The weather has turned cold too. Not that I'm a fan of cold weather riding but.....ahh cyclocross weather has finally arrived. This new CX bike I have has me all stoked about this years CX season too. I wish I had stayed in better shape but I'm having a ton of fun so far this season. Next week is the H.O.T. in Knoxville. I think I may have changed my mind, I may not attend. There are two races alot closer. One is in Marion at Hungry Mothers State Park in Va. It's a small race and needs help. They just have the dumbest luck at scheduling this race the last couple of years, it's the same week as HOT again. This year they had it changed to miss, but HOT switched dates on them and here we are in the same predicament again. If they ever get the date dialed in the attendance will probably triple or quadruple. The other race is in Boone, NC. Well actually it's at Ski Hawksnest. It's a NC Cyclocross series race up there. I'm not contesting that series but I'm diggin' the Cx scene right now. So I will have to make my mind up sometime this week I guess huh?

Oh I almost forgot to tell everyone that Earthfare opened over here near ETSU wed. The deli is freaking awesome. They have a different cuisine every night throughout the week. YUM!
