CLEAR ON RUNWAY 29er RIGHT....

As I walked down the stairs and got into the exploder I looked over to the fence, I was greeted by some very nice yellow flowers that mother nature worked so hard to produce. It made me smile and perked me up for the two classes I had for this Friday morning. The simple stuff is nice!!

Why do I have pictures of helicopters on my blog? Well I'm glad you asked! I'm in the shop and the walls of the small building start to rumble as they do many times when the 18 wheelers roll through Hampton on their way to Boone or Mountain City. This time it was a little unusual though. "This truck has a really big powerful engine" I thought to myself. The sound passed then it started to gradually come back again this time with more intensity. Brian just sits there smiling, "what the heck is that?" I ask. " Ahh probably D or one of the other guys", "HUH?" I ask. "Just watch" he says. I walk over to the door and look up, I see this sweet black chopper setting down behind the shop.......WOW!

The pilot puts her down, shuts down the engine and just walks in. "You all have any beach cruisers for My wife, daughter and I?"" I need them for my beach house". Brian just grins and shows him what we have available in the Haro line. "OK, I need three of those", he hangs out and talks to B for a bit then fires up the whirly bird and zipps off into the blue skies. That was totally awesome, how many peeps can say that someone showed up to shop where they work in a helicopter? Not many I'm sure. All kinds of surprises today!
Tomorrow morning is the big pancake fundraiser breakfast for the cycling team. I hope we have a huge turnout. My goal is 200 but if we have 100 I will be happy, we should break that though! Sorry for non-cycling realted material today but the chopper got me excited!

I am trying to talk ali into letting me buy a airboat to navigate the rivers and creek bottoms out here. There is a lot to be said for the "shock and Awe" effect.
