Blue Lights EVERYWHERE

It's a normal evening at my house. I go to a road club meeting with E and return home for a quiet evening. I do the usuall chitter chatter on FB and surf the web for a bit then turn in for bed. It's nice not having to get up for classes but to be honest I miss it. Anywho, I go to bed around midnight and about three hours later I'm awaken by flashing lights all over the neighborhood. I'm groggy and curious at the same time. I wonder well maybe there's a power line down or something, I mean I live in a very nice neighborhood ya know, what could be wrong? Still yet, where and why are all these cops here? Just cops no fire trucks, hmmmmm. I stammer into the kitchen to get a better view from the front window. I peek out as if I'm a bank robber peaking from behind a blind although I don't know why I do this. Bright lights all around, I mean everywhere. Looks like some tactical offense design or something and as best as I can tell Everett's house is surrounded! Dang what did that fool do? I can't leave the front window as I'm glued to watching several of JCPD officers maneuver around their cop cars staying low like some intense drill or something. I can hear the echo of the radios and dispatchers from the cars and officers radios. Still the question lingers "what the hell is going on?" I slowly ease away from the window (I don't know why though) and start to head to another window to get a different perspective of what's going on if I can..........I hear boots on my steps. Oh crap! What's going on? I ask myself again and again. I squat down by my computer work station and try to peer out that window. Wow! I see what looks like a swat helmet or something similar. What are these cops doing here? I continue to ask myself. His radio breaks the heavy silence and he covers it to mute the sound. I'm stuck staring and can't move from curiosity and to be honest a little bit of fear. I finally break away from the window like tearing two pieces of velcro apart and crawl across the floor heading to the back room, I want to get under the covers and make believe this is all a bad dream like a small child and when I wake up everything will be normal again.....not! I get about 3/4ths the way across the living room and I hear several boots creaking the wooden steps coming up to my "attic apartment". I slither up against the wall in the fetal position and freeze like an animal that's being stalked by it's prey. Suddenly the steps come alive like African drums with all the boots thumping the wooden steps coming up to my "attic", the doors flys open with no restriction and three, what looks like SWAT, officers penetrate my apartment in a perfect assault style of 1st man straight in kneeling with two other officers breaking left and right. The tremendously bright light from the barrel of their weapons pierce the darkness inside my place like lasers. They don't see me! I don't think I have taken a breath for what seems like 5 minutes but I know better. I'm in total frozen "freaked out" mode now. Then, the light hits me in the face and there's this thunderous...FREEZE from the officer. Fool does it look like I'm moving? I'm scared shitless right now you moron! (no I didn't say this but I thought it). One officer forcefully throws me to the floor face down and the other officer sweeps the rest of the pace and I hear a loud "CLEAR". I'm quickly secured and jerked from the floor and drug to the stairway. The officers do not put me in a cop car they actually throw me into some big truck parked along the curb near the driveway that's similar to something you would see on TV. Two dudes in suits set me up in a chair and remove the zip tie that's cutting into my wrists like a plastic razor blade. They don't say a word and I feel like the dude in many episodes that I have seen on 24 during a serious painful interrogation. Finally after what seems like an eternity of silence one of them speaks: Are you Alan Sparks? "Yes" I slowly answer. We have information that you broke the law by getting this new Fox Float 130RL fork for such a steal, is this true? I stand up with my chest protruding and say proudly............."Yes, It's true!"

It looks as if the 575 is going to stay for awhile. I managed to find a brand new Fox fork for half of what it costs, I was lucky! I was looking to get something with travel in the 120-140mm travel range so I'm good. Hopefully it will be here Thursday so I can get it ready for the Night Owl Race but if it doesn't I have a back-up bike. The Titus Xti in E's garage! I have already been given permission to take it if I want. The Black F100 Fox fork sold like hotcakes, I think I priced it too cheap! Well it's been a long time since I haven't had a Specialized bike in my stables but that time is here once again but if I find a great deal on a '06 or older Epic you never know.....
