Our Champion Brad Reed
Brad Reed is the undisputed 2010 champion of the BMTT with Everett Baker taking 2nd place honors. In the CX category, yes CX! David Hayter took first place with "D"Wayne Letterman coming in 2nd. Mark Teague took first place in B class respectively. Now everyone can see what those red/black jerseys are? Yes, they say TCRC! They were talking SO MUCH SMACK that roadies came out and hardly any of the mountain bikers that were not at Fontana. I was the promoter and couldn't say anything but they were trashing the MTBers for not coming out, WHEW!
Sunday rolls around and I was looking for some extra pain in the crit training series. My first masters crit race. I knew I didn't stand a chance but I wanted 'some'. The pace wasn't all that bad but I knew they were taking it easy and not riding like normal. It's funny how the true roadies get burned out by August it seems, I think they take training too serious sometimes. I held on to the main field til about 6 laps to go then I eased up wanting to save something for Cat4. I shoulda just hung in on the masters because when it came time for the 4's Brent dropped the hammer and took off. He busted the field up right off the bat and I was left with three other guys from the local road club that were not too happy about me not working with them and they made it known in true TCRC fashion.............bla...bla bla...bla bla bla. Matty was up front in the 3 man break and he rides my shops kit all the time so why would these tards think that I wanna help them get to my man up front. Two of them kept on blaa...blaa...blaa complaining. I just pulled out tapped my brakes and got away from them, I sat up and waited for the three leaders to get to me then I rode the rest of the race with them at the leaders pace. I knew with only three of them left they would never catch the lead group is why I pulled up AND I wanted to get away from the smarta$$'s mouths. All in all it was a great weekend with plenty of cycling although it was sooooooo hot.
