Well, mine and Angie's small scale garden has taken off suprisingly well. Im not growing in bulk but it's doing really good. Raising them in pots on the deck. We have already enjoyed several salads from the lettuce and we are patiently awaiting for the rest of the veggies to ripen. I was in wal-mart the other day and a regular green pepper is selling for 84 cents....... EACH! Dang! Highway robbery man. A bag of lettuce is 3$ and the roma tomatoes are outrageous also. Fuel affects everything in some way or the other ya know? Anywho these things are growing pretty good and it's going to save a little money too! Can't wait.Yum.

Tonight is tuesday and that is...... "The Johnson City World Championships" at Lamar. Time to get ready and head on down. Gonna push myself tonight so I can be ready for next weekends races here in our backyard. Tour de Possum in Yuma,Va saturday the 12th. I haven't been run training for the Crazy 8's this year so the 40 mile Possum is going to be a fun ride for me. Last year I did the triathalon and was 3rd heading into the Crazy 8's part. I suck at running! Ended up like 10th or something overall, it was my first one though. Still to be in podium contention and loose like that SUCKS! Kingsport crit Sunday the 13th ( which I won last year ;-) ) . Last and not least the mountain bike race at Bay's Mountain monday after work. I didn't have a clue about this last year an I did it on my SS. This year its gears and Im going to break an hour! Hopefully by several minutes! Last year I did it in 1hr 3min I think. I know the course this year and that will be helpful. I don't like doing events the first time. I like to have experience at the race venues I compete in, it makes me feel alot more comfortable and I don't get nervous at all. Better get.

Later G......................

Good looking veggies dog, next year you'll have to go big and cultivate a garden in the yard and skip the pots. I like the lettuce idea I may try that next year. Melinda is talking about putting in 3 more gardens next year. We've had some enormous cucumbers this year.
3 more gardens?? dang!
